Hello everyone, welcome and welcome back to my channel. Today I'll be showing you how I made this quick, easy, yet delicious sweet and sour chicken. If you want to see how I made it, let's get cooking!
First, I cleaned the chicken breasts and cut them into equally sized chunks. Then, I seasoned them with white pepper, baking soda, a chicken bouillon cube, soy sauce, and an egg. I massaged the seasonings into the chicken and added cornstarch before letting it marinate.
In another bowl, I mixed flour, cornstarch, white pepper, chicken bouillon, salt, and baking soda. This mixture would be used to coat the chicken and give it a crispy texture.
I diced green, red, and gold peppers, as well as a white onion, and set them aside. I also chopped some pineapples, which would add sweetness to the dish.
To make the sauce, I combined ketchup, dark soy sauce, dark brown sugar, chicken bouillon (dissolved in water), balsamic vinegar, and cornstarch. I set the sauce aside.
Next, I coated the marinated chicken in the flour mixture and fried it until crispy. I fried it in two batches and then fried it again for extra crispiness.
In a heated pan with sesame oil, I stir-fried the diced peppers and onions for a couple of minutes. Then, I added the chopped pineapples and sautéed everything for another minute. Once the veggies were cooked, I added the crispy fried chicken and the sauce. I added water to loosen up the sauce and cooked everything for a minute. The dish was ready to be served and paired perfectly with rice.
