This recipe is for chicken strips with spicy orange sauce. First, take 1/2 kg of chicken and cut it into long strips. Then, add 1 tsp of black pepper powder and salt to taste. Mix in 1/4 cup of cornflour, 1/3rd cup of maida, and 1 egg. Let the chicken marinate for 1/2 an hour. After that, fry the chicken for about 3 minutes on medium to high flame. Drain it on a kitchen towel.
In a separate fry pan, heat 3 tbsp of oil and add 1 tsp of finely chopped garlic and ginger. Fry it for a few seconds. Then, add 1 tbsp of soya sauce, 1 tbsp of white vinegar, 2 tsp of red chillie sauce, 1/4 tsp of black pepper powder, 1/4 tsp of white pepper powder, 1 tsp of chillie flakes, and salt to taste. Mix everything well.
Add 3 tbsp of orange juice, 1 tbsp of honey, a little salt, 1/4 cup of water, and some lemon zest. Also, add a cornflour slurry to thicken the gravy. Mix well and let it boil. Once it boils, add the fried chicken and stir it nicely so that it gets coated with the sauce. Do this on high flame.
