Today, we are going to prepare a Chinese fried rice. For this, we will need egg, garlic, ginger, Chinese sprouts, bacon or shrimp, carrots, and chives. We will chop the chive vegetables and proceed with our preparation by making an omelette with the egg and rice from the day before. We add salt, pepper, and a splash of oil to fry our vegetables.
Next, we add bacon to our sauce for flavor, followed by shrimp that adds great flavor when cooked briefly. Then, we add the rice and mix it all together. Soy sauce is an important ingredient, preferably dark soy sauce. We also add sprouts and the green part of the chives to add color.
In addition to the fried rice, we also have a recipe for sweet and sour chicken. We chop the chicken into pieces, season it with salt, pepper, and spices, and marinate it with rice vinegar and soy sauce. We make a sauce with water, ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, and sugar, thickened with cornstarch. The chicken is coated with cornstarch and fried before being mixed with the sauce.
If you prefer pork, we also have a recipe for Tonkatsu. We season the chops, dip them in a tempura batter, coat them with panko breadcrumbs, and fry them until golden. A sauce made with honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil is drizzled over the chops.
Thank you for joining me in preparing these delicious recipes!
