- 5 ounces of chicken fillet,
- one medium carrot,
- one onion,
- 3 cloves of garlic, one large sweet bell pepper,
- 2 tablespoons of honey,
- 2 tablespoons of ketchup,
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce,
- 1 teaspoon of rice vinegar.
Let's begin with the preparation. To start, let's cut our bell pepper into large cubes. Next, similarly, cut the carrot into large cubes. The chicken fillet should also be diced into cubes roughly the same size as the vegetables. Next is the onion. It should also be cut into large cubes. Before cooking, you should coat the chicken with starch or flour. This will give it the necessary crispy texture. Pour 2 tablespoons of oil onto the heated skillet and place the chicken on it. Sear the chicken over high heat until a golden brown crust forms. And remove the meat from the skillet.
Then, add the diced carrots and onions to the skillet. Sauté the vegetables together for a couple of minutes, and then introduce the bell pepper. Thoroughly mix everything, allowing the vegetables to sauté briefly while retaining their slight crunchiness. This process should take around 5 minutes.
Let's move on to the sauce. Pour 2 tablespoons of ketchup, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons of honey into the heated skillet. Add 2 ounces of warm water as well. Mix everything well and heat until a homogeneous mixture forms. Add half a teaspoon of ground ginger, black pepper, and a touch of red chili pepper. Pour in a tablespoon of rice vinegar, and the minced garlic. Let everything simmer for a couple of minutes. It's time to add our chicken to the sauce! Mix well to ensure that the sauce thoroughly coats each piece. Add the sautéed vegetables to the chicken, mix well, and let everything simmer together for a couple of minutes.
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top, and our dish is ready! Serve up this aromatic and flavorful chicken with vegetables on a bed of rice and get ready to relish an exquisite delight!
